Black Power is not racially intolerant. It is the hope of the black man that he should have power over his destinies...the moment that power is equitably distributed among several ethnic groups then the very relevance of making the distinction between the groups will be lost…” Walter Rodney, Guyanese Scholar and Black Power activist. March 23rd 1942-June 13th 1980.

It is reported that Walter Rodney will finally be honoured by his country. For instance, his death certificate will no longer read unemployed (?!) but will say Professor.

Rodney was assassinated for his beliefs, but his words remain as a testament to how much work still needs to be done attain racial equality.

Read his works, emancipate your mind and continue to aspire towards the liberation of our community.
